Anderson Rowntree praises Singing for the Soul as the Best Community Event

Anderson Rowntree Solicitors were delighted to again to sponsor this year's Chichester Observer Community Awards. The Awards took place at Butlins in Bognor Regis on 4th December and were hosted once again by the ever popular Fred Dineage.

We sponsored The "Best Community Event" Award, which recognised the very best spirit that is alive and well in our towns and villages.

It was a real pleasure for Chris Wise, Senior Partner to present the award this year to “Singing for the Soul”, a group which sings to and with elderly people with dementia.

Dementia Support Volunteer Sue Saunders started the over 50s Community singing social group in September this year. They meet weekly at Tangmere Village Hall and by winning this award by public vote it shows how popular and valuable to the community it already is.

Dementia Support is a unique charity, building a first-of-its kind dementia-friendly Hub for people with dementia, their families, friends and carers.

As a firm, we believe activities like Singing for the Soul are part of what binds neighbours and friends together in a common purpose. Strong communities tell us that we are never alone. The Chichester Observer Community Awards is an important part of our ongoing West Sussex community support.
